Coaches are masterful at managing projects, priorities, and relationships – but not always at managing our own data. You’re moving mountains, but can you quantify your impact and demonstrate your value to anyone who asks?
Can you quickly identify which departments or grades utilize your services the most? Do you know what tools and strategies are commanding the most time and attention? Are teachers getting the recognition they deserve for engaging in coaching cycles to improve instruction?
You can answer these questions and more with a robust data system, and you can build it for free using Google tools at your disposal. Learn to use Forms, Sheets, Slides, Sites, and Data Studio (plus a few add-ons) to build efficient, customized data collection and display systems. Provide coaching summaries to teachers, collect statistics for team meetings, and develop reports for admins and school boards – all using apps and tools you’re already familiar with.
This session is designed to support coaches (Instructional, Tech, Reading/ Math Specialists, etc.) but we welcome administrators and others who find it useful as well. The morning will be dedicated to learning to build dashboards, with the afternoon reserved for guided work time as needed.
Please bring a laptop or Chromebook to this workshop.
