The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) leads the national effort to defend critical infrastructure against the threats of today, while working with partners across all levels of government and in the private sector to secure against the evolving risks of tomorrow.

During this presentation, CISA Region 5 Cybersecurity Advisor Shaheen Chaudhri will discuss CISA’s role in protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure, the latest cyber threats facing the K-12 community, and the many no-cost cybersecurity services and information sharing resources available to help increase resilience and reduce risk.

Shaheen Chaudhri is a Chicago-based Cybersecurity Advisor with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Region 5 (IL, IN, MI, MN, OH & WI). In this capacity, he supports CISA's mission of strengthening the security and resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure. Prior to joining CISA, Shaheen worked for the Federal Reserve System where he was a cybersecurity examiner. He also previously worked in the financial services industry in the Insider Threat and Governance, Risk, and Compliance spaces. He began his career in government as an intelligence analyst with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and later joined the Central Intelligence Agency as an Operations Officer.
