Reliable IT Support for Small- Districts and Regional Offices
Cybersecurity is no longer just an “IT problem,” it’s a leadership priority. But for many Illinois K-12 districts, hiring a full-time cybersecurity expert is out of reach
Technology is essential to teaching, learning, and operations, but many school districts and Regional Offices of Education do not have the resources to hire a full-time technology professional. The Learning Technology Center’s Technology Support Services program was created to bridge that gap.
This service provides dedicated technology support specialists who can serve multiple districts through a flexible, shared-services model. Districts gain access to experienced IT professionals without the cost, recruitment challenges, or management responsibilities of a full-time hire.
The LTC is currently piloting Technology Support Services during Fiscal Year 2027 with a limited number of partner districts and Regional Offices of Education. During the pilot year, we will refine service delivery, establish best practices, and gather feedback from participating organizations. Full enrollment is expected to open statewide in Fiscal Year 2028.
If your district is interested in participating when enrollment opens, we encourage you to join the interest list.
Our Technology Support Specialists provide flexible remote and on-site support tailored to each district’s needs.
