Less is More: Embracing Edtech Minimalism in the Classroom

Tue. March 19, 2024 | 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm CDT

We’ve all been there – your administrators are asking you to utilize a new app or a colleague insists that this new device will revolutionize your classroom experience. And yet, squeezing in every new piece of edtech can feel like an enormous lift that just creates more classroom clutter.

What if adding more isn’t even the solution? What if you could be doing more in the classroom – for yourself and for your students – with less?

Join us for this interactive webinar where we’ll explore how the principles of minimalism can be harnessed to create calmer, more focused learning environments and instructional practices. Participants will learn strategies for decluttering physical and digital classroom spaces, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, streamlining procedures and routines, fostering essential skills and content, and cultivating overall calmness for both teachers and students.

Attendees will also participate in small group discussions, hands-on activities, and mindfulness practices to further demonstrate how educators can reliably prioritize essential learning environment elements that translate into student success.

Illinois educators who attend live via Streamyard can earn 1.0 PD credit.
