Empowering K-12 Educators: Navigating the AI Landscape in Rural Schools

Fri. March 8, 2024 | 9:00 am - 11:15 am CST

Join us for an enlightening workshop as we reflect on our initial experiences with implementing generative AI in the classroom over the past year. The conversation will center around the various facets of AI, exploring its components, purposes, and functions in an educational setting. This workshop also aims to explore the potential of integrating AI technologies (such as Chat GPT and Google’s Gemini) into K-12 classrooms – especially in rural schools.

In addition, three guest panelists from the Learning Technology Center will join us to provide timely, experienced insights on AI’s first full year in the classroom. They’ll also address concerns from K-12 leaders regarding AI’s use in academics, both now and as the technology continues to evolve.

Regardless of their role, educators will walk away from this workshop with a more practical understanding of AI – what it is, how it works, and how they can evaluate various AI-powered tools for themselves and their students.
