Be Connected: Student Information Systems

Wed. November 15, 2023 | 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm CST

Love them or hate them, student information systems (SIS) are an essential element of nearly every school’s day-to-day operations. There, students and parents can easily access grades and communicate with teachers, as well as access important documents, fill out forms, and so much more.

Is your school’s SIS up to snuff? Join us on this week’s Be Connected to discuss what your SIS brings to the table in terms of features and overall usability. For districts interested in upgrading, we’ll also discuss the keys to selecting an SIS based on its user-friendliness, customization, and long-term cost.

Be Connected is a weekly networking series from the LTC focused on facilitating open discussions about pertinent topics within Illinois’ technology and IT community. Hosted by the LTC’s Jared Lynn, Eric Muckensturm, and Duane Shaffer, each session will focus on a specific topic and provide space for participants to ask and answer questions in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Each week will feature a different core topic and a fresh opportunity to connect with your peers. So, be sure to check the LTC events calendar often so that you can join in the discussion and Be Connected.
