3D Printing for Educators

Wed. May 29, 2024 | 8:00 am - 3:00 pm CDT

Whether you’re thinking of buying your first printer, or you already have one that’s not being used to its full potential, this workshop will give you the foundation you need to bring 3D printing into the classroom.

We’ll begin at square one of the 3D printing process and go from ideation to modeling to finished print, covering everything in between. You’ll learn how 3D printers work, how to create and prepare models for printing, how to operate your printer, and how to troubleshoot it.

We’ll also explore tools, materials, and software you’ll need, and what to consider when choosing a printer for yourself. We’ll discuss lesson ideas, ways to manage projects effectively, and how to design your space to maximize learning. Join us for an innovative day of learning, designing, and making!

Please bring a device to this workshop; instructions for installing software will be emailed in advance of the workshop.
