CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS – The Learning Technology Center (LTC) is proud to announce two new collaborations with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) – ISTE Affiliate and PD hours for Illinois educators.

In November, the LTC became the latest ISTE Affiliate. Through this partnership, Illinois educators gain access to a nationwide network of innovators and research-backed resources that can help them deepen the ways their schools and their classrooms harness educational technology.

“The LTC has long been in support of the ISTE Standards and the organization’s overall mission, and this new partnership simply makes our alignment official,” said Tim McIlvain, the LTC Executive Director. “It also creates opportunities for the LTC to connect with other Affiliates, and we plan to leverage those relationships to increase our ability to serve our districts and educators better.”

Starting January 1, 2023, Illinois educators can experience some of ISTE’s professional learning resources while earning state-approved PD credit. Educators who complete any of the following ISTE-facilitated online courses can apply to receive up Illinois PD credit that can be applied to their teaching license renewal:

All three courses begin January 1, 2023. Prospective participants can join any course and complete coursework on their own schedule. All coursework must be completed and submitted by June 15, 2023 to receive Illinois PD credit.
