One of the more crucial roles of the school IT team and educators is providing a meaningful and safe journey through the vast digital landscape. Unrestricted access can expose students to inappropriate content, distractions, and other potential risks. But how can schools do their part to effectively manage online content access to create a safer, more focused digital learning environment?

In this session, we will delve into the world of web filtering and content control. We will gain insights into various web filtering techniques and their implications for educators and students. Attendees will walk away with practical knowledge about the range of web filtering options, including URL filtering, content scanning, safe search enforcement, and more. Additionally, school IT professionals and educators will be introduced to educational theories, such as social and experiential learning theories, that support integrating technology and the need for safe online practices
