How can we leverage our tech tools within our infrastructure to build positive communities — in our classrooms, clubs, schools, staff groups, family groups etc.? While many see tech as an isolator or deterrent to building community, we can use our various programs to bring people together.

In this session, we’ll look at communication and response tools which can open the door to better discussion, sharing personal experiences, and a variety of modes to connect. We’ll dig into peer-reviewed research on building community with effective technology. We’ll also discuss creating norms for using these digital tools.

Don’t worry about specific tools that your district may or may not have access to– we’ll brainstorm how to use what you’ve got to create stronger learning communities.
