As artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly transforms teaching and learning, educational leaders must guide the responsible integration of AI tools, ensure staff readiness, and establish clear policies aligned with ethical and instructional best practices. This course introduces frameworks and real-world examples to help principals, assistant principals, and department chairs build systemic AI literacy across schools. Participants will explore national and international AI guidance, review instructional use cases, and analyze local policy exemplars. Through collaborative planning and guided reflection, leaders will evaluate their own school or district's AI readiness, address common risks and misconceptions, and develop an AI Literacy Action Plan tailored to their instructional and operational context. The course prepares school leaders to make informed decisions around AI that support student learning, staff development, and community trust.
