Join us for the Youth Engineering Solutions Elementary (YES) Workshop Design, an engaging experience tailored for educators interested in enhancing their teaching practices in science and engineering. This workshop will provide participants with hands-on opportunities to build and test innovative projects, such as engineering rescue shuttles and pumpkin pollinators, designed to captivate young minds led by Kendall Brinson from the Boston Museum of Science.
Educators will deepen their understanding of the YES pedagogical frameworks, which emphasize student-centered design and inquiry-based learning. Participants will also strengthen their skills in classroom facilitation, materials management, and pacing strategies, ensuring a seamless integration of science and engineering concepts into their curricula.
This event is not only a chance to enhance your instructional techniques but also an opportunity to build leadership skills that will empower you to support colleagues in adopting and implementing science and engineering education practices. Attendees will leave equipped with a toolkit of ready-to-use strategies that can be applied across various grade levels.
Engage with fellow educators, share insights, and explore the exciting world of science and engineering education. This workshop promises to be a valuable addition to your professional development journey.
