For the first time in nearly a decade, the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) has released updated PK–12 CS standards. Driven by recent research, widespread classroom adoption, and rapid growth in emerging technologies, these new standards reflect today’s CS landscape.

Join us for an interactive overview and guided exploration of the updated standards. We’ll dive into new support for AI, cybersecurity, data science, and quantum computing, while exploring actionable ways to enhance your daily teaching.

What you’ll discover:

  • State Alignment: How these standards complement (and enhance) your IL State CS Standards
  • Interactive Tools: How to navigate the new interactive CSTA website to find resources quickly
  • Flexible Pedagogy: Plugged and unplugged strategies and ideas for interdisciplinary integration

Whether you’re looking to refresh your current curriculum or bring emerging tech into your lessons, you’ll leave with practical ideas ready for your classroom.
