The Makerspace Starter Kit

Tue. September 29, 2026 | 9:00 am - 2:30 pm CDT

Are you ready to get a makerspace going at your school, but not quite sure where to start? Maybe you have a space already, but it’s due for a makeover. There are so many options out there, and technology is constantly changing. Where do you start—and more importantly, how do you ensure the technology you buy doesn’t just sit on a shelf gathering dust? This workshop provides a structured protocol for planning, designing, and stocking your makerspace to best meet the needs of YOUR students. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we’ll share the research and critical questions you need to ask to tailor your space for maximum utility and long-term success.
