ROE 20 Computer Science Curriculum Cohort

Thu. July 31, 2025 | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT

Are you passionate about bringing computer science to your students? Whether you’re not sure how to get started or are a new or experienced CS teacher, all levels are encouraged to join our ROE 20 Computer Science Curriculum Cohort to learn and support each other in meeting Illinois’ K-12 computer literacy mandates and aligning with the Illinois Computer Science Standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and access curriculum and resources to make computer science engaging and accessible for students in ROE 20. In our first meeting, we’ll get to know each other, identify the specific support needed across our schools, and delve into the Illinois Computer Literacy Skills and Computer Science Standards. We’ll discuss practical curriculum ideas and valuable resources for effectively incorporating computer science into your classrooms. This will be a collaborative space for participants to share their current initiatives, challenges, and areas where they need support.
