Computer Science Series: Strawbees (K-12)

Tue. July 15, 2025 | 8:30 am - 11:30 am CDT

Discover the engaging world of Strawbees! This workshop offers educators a hands-on introduction to this innovative building system designed to foster STEM and STEAM learning through play. Adaptable for learners from kindergarten through high school, Strawbees’ simple connectors and straws empower students to build, design, and problem-solve in creative and collaborative ways. Explore its versatility across subjects and its potential for integration with robotics and coding. While basic knowledge of micro:bits is preferred for some advanced applications, it is not required for this workshop, as Strawbees can be used effectively as a standalone tool without any technology. Leave inspired and equipped with practical ideas to implement Strawbees in your classroom and spark your students’ passion for exploration and discovery.
