Youth Engineering Solutions Middle/High School (YES) Workshop Design

Tue. March 10, 2026 | 8:30 am - 2:30 pm CDT

Join us for the Youth Engineering Solutions Middle/High School (YES) Workshop Design, an engaging opportunity for educators to deepen their understanding of science and engineering concepts through practical application. This workshop emphasizes hands-on experiences, allowing participants to build, test, and reflect on engineering projects.

Educators will enhance their classroom facilitation skills, focusing on effective materials management and pacing strategies to ensure smooth instruction. The workshop will introduce YES pedagogical frameworks, including student-centered design and inquiry-based engineering, empowering teachers to lead innovative learning experiences.

Participants will also develop leadership skills essential for supporting colleagues in adopting and implementing YES methodologies. By the end of the workshop, attendees will leave equipped with a toolkit of ready-to-use strategies for facilitating engineering learning across various grade levels, which will be led by Kendall Brinson from the Boston Museum of Science.

This event promises to be a valuable experience for educators seeking to inspire the next generation of engineers. Engage with fellow teachers, share insights, and cultivate a collaborative environment dedicated to advancing engineering education.
