Getting Started with AI: Special Education Edition

This introductory workshop is designed to empower special education teachers with the essential skills to address their unique classroom challenges and reduce workload. We will focus on building proficiency in AI tools and effective prompting. You will learn to immediately apply AI for diverse tasks, including reading level adjustments, chunking, assessment and project modifications, generating tailored outlines and notes, developing data-driven IEP goals, implementing progress monitoring, and crafting targeted behavior plans. Discover how precise prompting ensures AI outputs directly support diverse learning styles and abilities, while also automating time-consuming tasks. Through hands-on practice, you will build foundational AI skills and the confidence to use AI to directly benefit your students and reclaim valuable time.
