A Teacher’s Guide to Gemini: Navigating AI Tools in Classroom & Creating Gems

Tue. May 12, 2026 | 8:30 am - 11:30 am CDT

Unlock the full potential of Google’s latest AI integrations in this hands-on workshop designed to support your daily teaching workflow through Gemini in Google Classroom and custom Gemini Gems. This session introduces educators to the built-in Gemini tools in Google Classroom for instant lesson differentiation and content generation, while also teaching you how to build personalized “Gems” that act as specialized co-teachers or assistants. You will move from theory to practice during a dedicated maker block, where you will apply effective prompting techniques to your own curriculum materials to create time-saving resources. By the end of the day, you will leave with a functional mastery of Google’s AI suite and a library of ready-to-use digital tools for the upcoming school year.
