Teaching is hard. Getting students’ attention is the easy part… keeping it is where learning takes place. This session is about engagement strategies that will get and keep your students focused on the learning target all the while providing you feedback so you can make the changes necessary to ensure understanding. This hands-on session will allow you to participate in several strategies you can use with students. This will include Hexagonal Thinking, Background Knowledge Placemats, See, Think, Wonder, to name a few!

Participants will leave with concrete, research-based recommendations to implement in their practice.
