From your thermostat to your lights to your vacuum cleaner, “smart” devices are all around us. It might seem like robots are taking over – but behind every robot is a programmed set of instructions coded by a real human. Show your students how easily they can get into robotics and coding by exploring our Robot Playground!

Join our unique hands-on session where you can explore a variety of robotics for the K-12 classroom. We’ll share some brief background information on the value of robotics instruction and an introduction to each tool, then you’re free to start programming! Test drive different robotics tools at each station using our pre-made task cards, or get creative and try your hand at programming your own ideas.

We’ll have you explore Microbit, Sphero, Makey-Makey, Dash & Dot, Cosmo, and Root. You’ll walk away with hands-on experience, as well as links to curriculum and ideas for implementation at your grade level.
