Join the U.S. Department of Education’s Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) to learn what kind of free resources are available to support you and your districts. Have you had FERPA training? Have the educators in your district had FERPA training? Come put your knowledge to the test! In this session, we will explore complex and varied real-world scenarios that concern student privacy and ask you, the audience, to help us work through them. This session provides an excellent forum for discussion of complex issues regarding FERPA and a great space to have your questions answered. Do you think you have what it takes? To that we say, “It depends!” The scenarios are taken straight from our case files and are examples of where districts commonly make mistakes.
