Got to Get Math into Canva: A Beatles Tribute to Using Canva in the K-8 Classroom

November 4
11:00 AM - 11:50 AM
Digital Learning and Innovative Practices
Instructional Coaches, Library and Media Specialists, Teachers

Teachers don’t often think of math as a creative subject. Let Canva help blow those myths out of the water! Students can create everything from blueprints practicing geometry to menus they can use to practice addition and subtraction. The creative collaboration that can be done in Canva can transform a boring and dreaded math class into one with high engagement and authentic assessments. “Make Learning Magical” by the amazing Tisha Richmond highlights that education is more meaningful to students when they are truly immersed in the experience and can use their creativity which Canva not only allows but encourages! In addition to leaving with many k-8 math templates, participants will be shown quick Canva basics such as how to mix templates. They will also have time to play, share ideas, and collaborate.
