Coaching Through Burnout

November 3
10:30 AM - 11:20 AM
Leadership/Professional Development
Administrators, Instructional Coaches, Teachers

The pandemic may be passed but the lingering effects are still evident. Teachers and administrators are burned out. The thought of learning anything new, doing something different, or trying something else makes their tummies turn, their skin crawl, and their bodies turn tail and run! As coaches and facilitators, it is our responsibility to help them move through this and see the value of continuing to learn and grow as professionals. This presentation will look at various ways to meet those we work with where they are and help to push them forward. This is not about gamification (if they want to learn the game just adds to it), this is not about requirements (they do those because they have to, not because they want to), this is about finding that way to help foster that fire, that drive they had when they started teaching.
