How many new apps and/or vendors has your district adopted in the past few years? You might be surprised to learn it’s likely far more than you think.

The edtech industry is exploding. At the same time, students, teachers, and staff are using their district Google account to sign up for a wide variety of apps (either on purpose or accidentally). While some of these apps can provide benefits, many are creating real student privacy concerns and data security risks.

Data privacy and data security go hand-in-hand. This is particularly true when it comes to applications that have access to your district’s data—whether or not they’re approved.
