About Sarah Michelle Clark

Sarah Michelle Clark is an Editorial Associate in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and a volunteer PR Coordinator with Harbinger Theatre out of Albany, NY. She is a graduate from The College of Saint Rose (magna cum laude) with a degree in Communications/Journalism. Clark is a student in Sacred Heart University’s Strategic Communications and Public Relations master’s program.

Outside of Clark’s role at BIDMC and volunteerism, she is developing her role as an advocate for media literacy and ethical digital consumerism with research and written work. Clark is also a member of Boston’s Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) chapter, and aspires to receive her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR).

At Saint Rose, Clark was the News Editor for The Chronicle at The College of Saint Rose, and interned at The Sullivan County Democrat sponsored by the New York Press Association (NYPA) in 2019. After the six-week internship concluded, she remained a freelance reporter with the Democrat until August 2020. Clark was the 2021 recipient of the Sister Patricia Kane Writing Award in Journalism, and was nominated and received the The Service and Appreciation Award for her work with The Chronicle.

Additionally, Clark is a spoken word poet, and has performed at several events. Locations and occasions include: The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, St. Rocco’s Readings, Catskills Talks hosted by the Wurtsboro Arts Alliance, and the Callicoon Artwalk. She published original poetry in “UNITED: Volume Red,” “UNITED: Volume Honey,” and “Caducean Lights,” an art and literary magazine for BIDMC employees.
