Founded in 1995, the Learning Technology Center (LTC) is a program of the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), and we are Illinois’ technology system of support for K-12 school districts and educators. We support all K12 districts, schools, and educators in Illinois through technology initiatives, services, and professional learning opportunities. Our work addresses high-need technology and digital learning challenges, and we help schools increase access to and use of technology to improve educational opportunities for students. About the Position
The Learning Technology Center is hiring a Technology Learning Specialist (i.e., Instructional Technology Coach) to work with multiple districts as part of the LTC’s Instructional Technology Coach Program. The Technology Learning Specialist is responsible for providing ongoing, embedded coaching and professional learning related to technology and digital learning that enhances teaching practices, students’ engagement, and student learning. The coach will work with LTC staff and the district leadership teams to develop coaching plans, support teachers, and build a strong culture around technology integration. In addition to 1:1 coaching, coaches also facilitate small and large group professional learning opportunities; support school and district leadership with technology and digital learning initiatives; and, as needed, contribute to regional and state K-12 educational technology initiatives.
Location: This position will work with 2-4 districts in the Champaign County area. Candidates must be located within driving distance to districts or be willing to relocate.
Compensation: The salary range is $60,000 – $75,000 and is based on relevant experience and regional norms. This is a 9.5-month position. The LTC pays 100% of the employee’s portion of TRS.
