Use Tynker’s FREE NASA Projects to Hook Students on Coding

Wed. September 14, 2022 | 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm CDT

Tynker’s NASA projects are a great way for teachers and students to try coding together, regardless of their experience level. As your school works toward meeting Illinois’ new computer science standards, these standards-aligned coding projects can help learners of all ages unlock their interest in space exploration and passion for computer science learning.

In this session, participants will try out 9 of Tynker’s latest NASA projects and learn how to:
– Help students craft their very own Mission Patch!
– Guide students in creating pointillism art based on new James Webb telescope photos.
– Facilitate students creation as they program a Lunar Rover

Participants can also find additional teaching resources, including an archive of recorded walk-through lesson videos with NASA’s own scientists and engineers, at https://tynker.com/nasa .

Illinois educators who attend live can earn 1.0 PD credit.
