STEM Series: 3D Printing and CNC Carving for Beginners

Tue. October 18, 2022 | 8:30 am - 3:00 pm CDT

3D printers and CNC machines are two of the most popular options for today’s educational STEM labs and makerspaces. If you’ve heard of them or seen them in action, but don’t know how to start using them at your school, this workshop is for you!

Join us as we start at square one with a primer on how these technologies work and what you need to start using them in an educational setting. From there, we’ll share advice for purchasing decisions and teaching resources that can make utilizing these technologies in the classroom that much easier. Most importantly, attendees will have the chance to get hands-on with the equipment, designing a project of their own and taking it through the steps from ideation to creation on our machines (as time allows).

All attendees must bring a laptop to fully participate this session.
