STEM for the Non-STEM Content Area Teacher

Thu. January 26, 2023 | 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm CST

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education is more than just the subjects that make it up its name. It allows students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, not to mention an opportunity to hone valuable workforce-ready skills like collaboration, communication, and creativity.

If you’re a non-STEM teacher, how can you bring STEM learning into your classroom? Join us as we get hands-on with innovative strategies for infusing STEM learning into every subject area! During this workshop, we’ll try out a few cross-curricular STEM activities that can increase engagement, encourage students to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges, and prompt learners to share authentic learning experiences as a learning community.
