Navigating the New Computer Literacy Standards

Tue. October 25, 2022 | 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm CDT

Starting in the 2022 school year, schools are responsible for educating their students in computer literacy per Illinois’ new computer science standards developed. In this session, we’ll explore the meaning of computer literacy, the K-12 Computer Literacy Knowledge and Skill Continuum, and how you can bring computer literacy into your classroom. Along the way, we’ll also explore how numerous digital tools – including some you already use – can be utilized to meet these standards.

This session is great for administrators planning to implement the standards, teachers who are teaching the standards, and any educator interested in finding new ways to integrate technology into their classroom.
