Fostering Healthy and Positive Online Socialization

Wed. April 5, 2023 | 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm CDT

Technology and social media have changed the way we socialize, and for today’s students, those changes have been compounded by a variety of exterior stressors that have put a strain on their interpersonal relationships. Those same students will grow up to be tomorrow’s digital citizens, so it’s on us to ensure they learn and practice the social skills that will not only keep them safe online, but also empower them to positively shape their own digital communities.

Join us as we discuss a variety of social skills that prompt healthy interpersonal interactions, as well as strategies for translating those skills to a digital environment. A internet safety expert will be on hand to answer questions and provide age-appropriate insights into how teachers can model positive interpersonal in their own classrooms.

Illinois educators who attend live can earn 1.0 PD credit.
