Beyond Digital Citizenship – Use Technology to Advocate for Good

Wed. October 12, 2022 | 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm CDT

Part of being a good citizen is using the resources and skills available to make a positive difference. The same can be said of good digital citizenship! We know that technology is capable of enabling and amplifying student voice to reach a wider audience. Why should that voice be restricted only to core academic content?

Join us for a discussion on the importance of promoting advocacy skills in the classroom. Along the way, we’ll explore a few of the digital tools students can use to sharpen their advocacy skills while also highlighting how those skills can help students pursue issues that matter to them and precipitate lasting change in their world.

After participating in this webinar, attendees will understand:

-How to shift past basic digital citizenship curriculum and empower students to use technology that positively impacts their communities
-The technology tools and digital platforms that foster student digital citizenship skills and enable them to have a positive influence in the world around them

Illinois educators who attend live can earn 1.0 PD credit.
