Be Connected: STEM Labs

Wed. September 20, 2023 | 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm CDT

Makerspaces, STEM labs, STEM rooms – whatever you call them, they are playing a growing role in fostering hands-on STEM learning in our schools. A STEM learning space might be exactly what your school needs to increase access to students at every grade level. But where to start?

Join us on this week’s Be Connected to uncover strategies for designing and equipping dynamic STEM spaces that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. Explore a real-world success story and gain insights into how STEM rooms can cultivate the new generation of problem solvers and technology pioneers.

Be Connected is a weekly networking series from the LTC focused on facilitating open discussions about pertinent topics within Illinois’ technology and IT community. Hosted by the LTC’s Jared Lynn, Eric Muckensturm, and Duane Shaffer, each session will focus on a specific topic and provide space for participants to ask and answer questions in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Each week will feature a different core topic and a fresh opportunity to connect with your peers. So, be sure to check the LTC events calendar often so that you can join in the discussion and Be Connected.
