Google Classroom Basics

When it feels like the world is going online, how do we take our coursework from blackboards to the digital world? Google Classroom is the key!

Google Classroom is a popular digital solution for managing classwork, materials, and an online grade book – all from a single, user-friendly and customizable user interface.

The best part of Google Classroom – no more paper shuffling! With Google Classroom, teachers can spend less time searching for digital resources and more time creating accessible learning experiences that bring every student into the fold, no matter where or how they learn.

In this course, you’ll learn how to connect with students, organize and deliver digital coursework and materials, and take learning beyond the “blackboards of old”. This course will cover the basics, including Google Classroom’s core functions and layout, working with students in a class, creating basic assignments, and creating basic assessments.

This course will help learners master the following skills:

  • Understand all the parts of a Google Classroom
  • Create a Google Classroom
  • Provide activities and assignments in Google Classroom
  • Assess student work in Google Classroom
